Scheduled servicing moves the decision from “is it broken” to “is it due”. That sounds like a small change in framing, but it has three practical effects.

- Map the fleet: make, model, hours, date of manufacture, compliance dates
- Set intervals against real duty cycles, not the ideal conditions in the manual
- Book the highest-risk units first
- Track what the schedule catches, so the value is visible rather than assumed
Local conditions matter
Manufacturer intervals assume ideal operating conditions. Western Sydney dust, summer heat and stop-start duty cycles all shorten them, sometimes considerably.
