About us:
Our story & commitment
Truck and machinery expertise forged from generations of mechanical knowledge. Diesel's in our blood—a family tradition of excellence in the heavy equipment industry.

Our story
Outwest Trucks and Machinery emerged from deep mechanical roots as a specialised extension of Nicholas Jones' vision to deliver exceptional service to the trucking and heavy machinery sector. With family connections spanning three generations of Plant and Heavy Diesel Mechanics, we bring both heritage and innovation to every service we provide.
While our sister company OutWest Equipment Hire focuses on machinery rental solutions, Outwest Trucks and Machinery was established to address a critical gap in the maintenance and repair landscape: delivering accountable, responsive service that machinery operators can genuinely rely upon when and where they need it most.
Based in Emu Plains with convenient access to both Blue Mountains and Western Sydney, our purpose-built facility combines traditional mechanical expertise with advanced diagnostic technology. Every service we provide focuses on maximising uptime, extending equipment lifespan, and delivering exceptional value through quality workmanship.
Our approach
At Outwest Trucks and Machinery, we’re striving to be the most respected service provider in the region. With a combined 46+ years of industry experience across our specialist team, we deliver tier-one service capabilities across:

Meet our founder
Nicholas Jones
"The more time I spend in this industry, the more I'm convinced that exceptional service comes from genuine understanding. I focus on understanding how equipment functions and how it integrates into our clients' business operations and impacts their bottom line.
My passion for heavy machinery maintenance runs deep through my family heritage. As a third-generation Heavy Diesel Mechanic following my grandfather and father, I've absorbed traditional mechanical wisdom and embraced emerging technology.
Establishing Outwest Trucks and Machinery allowed me to create a service model that addresses what I saw missing in the industry: absolute accountability, transparent communication, and the willingness to do whatever it takes to keep our clients' equipment performing at its peak.
We named our business to reflect our proud Western Sydney heritage. We commit ourselves to this region and the businesses that operate here, bringing metropolitan-level expertise with genuine local understanding and response capabilities.
My vision is to build a service legacy that maintains the highest standards for generations to come. We will keep that diesel flowing in our bloodline!"
